Cynthia,
As you can imagine, we have a lot of problems with mold and mildew here in the Deep South. To kill it, fill a pump up sprayer with 1 part bleach to 4 parts water, add a little detergent like TSP and spray the area. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes or more then rinse it off. It's a good idea to wet down any grass and wet or cover any bushes near where you will be spraying to prevent the bleach from burning the leaves.

I see you on the weather channel with great tips. One thing that we experience here (High Plains) is mold growing on the north side of our house on vinyl siding. If you have any great tips to prevent/clean this I would appreciate it. The only tips I can find are to cut trees down (not an option.)
This is a problem community wide where I live. Very humid summers. Thanks for any help.
